As you work through Behold: A Guided Advent Journal for Prayer and Meditation, consider how you can read and pray along with the Church this Advent. The following readings are from the daily Mass readings during the four weeks of Advent. Perhaps consider how you might attend daily Mass when you can. Begin where you are: the Lord is inviting us all into greater intimacy with Him. Consider how you might make a dedicated Holy Hour, half-hour – whatever you can, morning, afternoon, or evening  – to enter into prayerful meditation of Scripture, and contemplation of the Lord. 

We’ve also provided a basic guide for engaging in the practice of lectio divina, divine reading. Feel free to download the pdf for yourself and use at any time.

Each of our gatherings will meet in the St. Maria Goretti Parish Hall from 7:00-8:00 pm. We’ll gather around the fireplace, watch a short video from Sister Miriam, and discuss in large and small-group fashion what is to come for the week ahead. We will close by praying Vespers together each night.
