10:30 a.m. Mass
St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church
All are invited to join St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in a Eucharistic procession on the Feast of Corpus Christi. This is a wonderful opportunity to show our faith in the Real Presence of Jesus.
The procession will take place at the conclusion of the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, June 2. We will exit the church building and process around the block, beginning east on Flad Avenue, right on Lewon Drive, right on Raymond Road, right on Gilbert Road, and back to Flad Avenue. We will process with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, stopping for a moment of prayer, before returning into the church for Benediction. The procession will take approximately 45 minutes.
Following Benediction, the Knights of Columbus will be providing free brats or hot dogs, chips, cookies, and water on the parish grounds. Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket for sitting outside at the brat fry. We will have limited seating in the Parish Hall, if needed.

Corpus Christi and the Eucharist
The Eucharist is the source and summit of the whole Christian life. The Feast of Corpus Christi is a celebration of Christ's Real Presence in the Eucharist. It parallels the celebration on Holy Thursday in commemoration of the institution of this sacrament. When the Eucharist is carried through the streets in solemn procession, the Christian people give public witness of their faith and devotion toward the sacrament of the Eucharist.
