Brother Knights Serving Our Diocese

As the “Into the Deep” initiative has begun with the initiation of pastorates, St. Maria Goretti’s Knights of Columbus Council 17889 has also started to collaborate and build community with the St. Christopher Knights of Columbus Council 11155 in Verona. In July, the Knights provided dinner for over fifty priests who attended a diocesan workshop at SMG. Through this event, brother Knights from both councils were able to socialize with one another and serve the priests of our diocese.

This summer, the SMG Knights also assisted with the brat fry after the Corpus Christi procession and hosted a pancake breakfast to benefit Biking for Babies. The Council continues to host strongly-attended monthly Fraternity and Formation Nights at the parish. This event consists of a meal shared together (cooked by Fr. Scott!), faith formation, and an opportunity for all men to grow in fraternity and community.

The Knights of Columbus Council is continuing to welcome new members who are looking to grow in fraternity, serve the community, and strengthen their Catholic faith. Membership is open to any man over age 18. If you are interested in joining, please email [email protected].
